Van Dusen Lodge

Capacity: 24 people
Rate: $120 + propane usage (if any)

Built in 1928, this spacious cabin has an incredible view onto our beautiful Sand Pond and the distinctive silhouette of Catfish Mountain in the distance. This is one of the three log cabins available for winter rental, combining rural charm, an excellent location, and modern amenities, such as propane heat.

This cabin is divided between two rooms. The larger of the two rooms has a working fieldstone fireplace. The cabin is well-lit and has plenty of windows. In addition to Sand Pond being located out the front door, the Jacksonburg Creek is located steps away from the back door.

Mechanics Lodge

Capacity: 10 people
Rate: $50 + propane usage

Built in 1928, this quaint cabin is located on the road leading to Sand Pond. This is one of the three log cabins available for winter rental. The cabin is freshly painted and welcoming. This cabin is heated by propane only. The cabin is popular among small troops, and also among large troops who rent one of the two larger nearby cabins.

Ho-Ho-Kus Lodge

Capacity: 20 people
Rate: $100 + propane usage (if any)

Built in 1930, this spacious log cabin has a very large fieldstone fireplace in the center of the building as its focus point, and also has the benefit of an oversized front porch that gives plenty of space for your troop to cook, eat, and work out of the rain (not that it ever rains at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco). This cabin is divided between two rooms. The larger front room is heated by both a wood-burning stove/fireplace and propane. The smaller back room is unheated, but is an ideal cooking area in all weather.

Waterfront Cabin

Capacity: 12 people
Rate: $60 + propane usage

When your troop stays in this cabin, you will be just steps from the beach at Sand Pond. This cabin fits 12 Scouts very comfortably, and has very large windows that look out onto the lake. This cabin is heated by propane. The cabin consists of one large room and a small porch. This is a very nice cabin in a great location.

Price Lodge

Capacity: 30 people
Rate: $150 people + propane usage (if any)

Built in 1956, this is the largest rentable cabin in camp. It also is located right on Sand Pond. The cabin is divided between two rooms, one heated by both a wood-burning stove and propane for sleeping, and a smaller unheated room. This cabin is virtually surrounded by windows, with great views onto the lake and the waterfront area.

ParBan Cabin

Capacity: 10 people
Rate: $50 + propane use

This cabin is located in a relatively private setting, and is surrounded by an open area, perfect for troops who are looking to do pioneering and other Scoutcraft projects near the cabin. The cabin has a bright interior, and is heated with propane. This cabin is very popular with small troops, especially those who are looking for a little more privacy. This cabin is also close to the Blackfoot campsite and latrine (it’s always nice to be staying close to a latrine).

Retsu Lodge

Capacity: 12 people
Rate: $60 + propane use

This cabin is located in the Dan Boone campsite, and also serves as the leader’s cabin for the campsite. The cabin is one large room that is heated by propane. The cabin has many windows, and is well-lit. The cabin has a small porch, and is very close to both the A-Field and the parking area at the top of the cable cut. It is served by the latrine in the Dan Boone campsite. Dan Boone is also the end of the self-guided nature trail.

Iroquois Lodge

Capacity: 12 people
Rate: $60 + propane use

This cabin is located at the edge of the Iroquois campsite (lean-tos), which can be rented separately. This cabin is one large, well-insulated room that is heated with propane. A distinguishing feature of this cabin is the large deck, which is also wheelchair-accessible. This cabin has many windows and is very well-cared for. This cabin is located very near the A-Field.

Smith Lodge

Capacity: 18 people
Rate: $90 + propane use

This cabin is located on the A-Field and provides plenty of opportunity for team sports and fun. The cabin has a spacious main room for sleeping, and then a smaller room for food preparation. There is a front porch and the cabin is wheelchair-accessible. This cabin is heated with propane. Always well-kept, this is one of the more popular cabins during the winter.

Cabin #1

Capacity: 28 people
Rate: $250 + propane use

This cabin is located at the top of the camp parking lot. Recenty built in 2006 this cabin has two sleeping rooms with bunks and one large main room.  A covered deck is on the front side of the cabin, and a deck on the rear of the cabin.  Cooking is expected to be done on the rear deck of the cabin.

Rate: $250 + propane use

This cabin is located at the top of the camp parking lot. Recenty built in 2006 this cabin has two sleeping rooms with bunks and one large main room.  A covered deck is on the front side of the cabin, and a deck on the rear of the cabin.  Cooking is expected to be done on the rear deck of the cabin.

Sand Pond Lodge

Capacity: 16 people
Rate: $80 + propane use

This cabin is located on the other side of the lake, being the start of many of the trails which ascend to the Appalachain Trail. Many a memorable winter camping trip has started with the troop hiking across the frozen Sand Pond to stay at this cabin! The cabin is divided between three rooms, two for sleeping, and the last for food preparation. This cabin is heated with propane. This cabin is set apart from most of the rest of the camp, but is easily accessible by truck.

Rosenberg Lodge

Capacity: 10 people
Rate: $50

Originally built in 1961, this building was completely renovated in 2007-2008. Once it reopens, it will feature ample sleeping area, a custom-made table with built-in seating. This cabin will be heated exclusively by a brand-new wood burning stove. The cabin is located in between Sand Pond Lodge and the chapels, and has a commanding view of Sand Pond when the leaves are off the trees. From top to bottom, this cabin looks like new. Make this cabin your troop’s new favorite!
